Instructors

Sophia is a senior at the Greenhill School in Texas and an active member of the USA National Debate Team. Sophia has championed tournaments including the Jesuit Invitational, Carroll HS Classic, and Coppell Classic. She has also placed 3rd at TFA, reached finals in UT, and reached Octofinals twice at NSDA Nationals. Sophia is now ranked 3rd in the nation for World Schools debate and is excited to be working with everyone!

Ram is currently a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania. Ram has been debating for 7 years and is a 3-time New Jersey State Champion (Lincoln Douglas). He has also advanced to eliminations at many national tournaments in various styles of debate, including reaching quarterfinals at the National Catholic Forensic League Grand National tournament.

Kaden is a senior at the Greenhill School and an active member of the Greenhill’s World Schools team. Most notably, Kaden placed 3rd at the 2023 National Speech and Debate Tournament. He was also a Quarterfinalist and awarded 2nd Speaker at the 2022 Greenhill Fall Classic, and was a Quarterfinalist and awarded 7th Speaker at 2023 TFA State.

Tanya is currently a freshman at Barnard College. Tanya primarily competed in World Schools Debate for four years, for which she represented Team New Jersey at NSDA Nationals for three years, championing the Damus Hollywood Invitational and quarter-finaling at the Harvard College WSI. She was also the president and captain of the debate, Model Congress, and Mock Trial teams at West Windsor Plainsboro High School North.

Aiden is a sophomore at the Bergen County Academies and has been debating for over four years. Aiden has championed Georgetown and was awarded top speaker, while also reaching quarterfinals at Standard and Harvard. He also placed first in Biomedical Debate at the HOSA International Leadership Conference (ILC). At Cornerstone, Aiden aims to empower students to engage in discourse confidently by teaching students a multitude of public speaking techniques and debate skills!

Sunay is a freshman at Rutgers University and debated for Montville High School. Sunay was a finalist at Princeton in the Varsity Lincoln Douglas division, while also receiving qualifying bids to the Tournament of Champions at Harvard and Bronx. He has also placed 1st at the NJ District Tournament, Top-3 at the New Jersey State Tournament twice, and 15th at NSDA Nationals.

Sam is a junior at Northern Valley Demarest High School and has been debating for over five years. Sam has won awards on the Public Forum national circuit while competing at major tournaments at Harvard, Georgetown, Westchester. He has also found success at locals like Montville, Summit, and Bergen County tournaments. Sam hopes to be a positive influence in nurturing future debaters!

Christina is a junior at the Academy of the Holy Angels and has been debating for over 3 years. Christina has been awarded second place in KIDA (Korea Intervarsity Debate Association) Parliamentary Debate. As she transitioned to policy debate in the U.S., Christina placed third in Bergen County. She’s excited to help everyone learn more about debate!
